International Peace Day

This Friday Focus honors International Peace Day which is observed globally on September 21 each year to celebrate peace. In alignment with the Echoes of One: A Global Awakening summit, practitioners are warmly invited to run their prayer wheel and together get to channel peace, healing, and unity across cultures and communities.

Sandra Bara

Born and raised in Florida, Sandra Bara is a proud mother of four whose life and work are guided by creativity, compassion, and community. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Digital Media at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she also served as Senior Arts Editor for The Experience magazine, curating and celebrating student art and literature. Sandra is passionate about photography and works across multiple artistic mediums, with award-winning pieces recognized at college and community levels.

Deeply engaged in nonprofit and volunteer work, Sandra co-founded Echoes of One, a global peace initiative, and is developing the Community Care Circle with her husband, James Bara, to support families navigating autism and sensory differences. As the mother of a son with autism and a family touched by sensory and ASD diagnoses, Sandra brings both advocacy and empathy into her work, helping to foster greater awareness and inclusion.

With a love for culture and travel, Sandra finds inspiration in diverse communities and perspectives, channeling those experiences into her creative projects and peace-building efforts. She continues to blend her artistic vision with her dedication to service, striving to create spaces of unity, healing, and belonging for all.
